Complex, ripe exotic fruits with subtle grassy aromas typical of the variety. The palate is full of concentrated ripe fruits with beautiful texture and drive. A wine that shows the potential of what Sauvignon Blanc can be. This wine should age gracefully over the next 5-10 years.
“The very classy 2021 vintage was grown in the Churton Vineyard, between the Waihopai Valley and the Omaka Valley, hand-picked, fermented and lees-aged in wooden ovum (egg-shaped barrels), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full of youthful drive, it is mouthfilling, with ripe, tropical fruit flavours, showing excellent intensity, and a dry, tightly structured, long, very harmonious finish. Drink now or cellar.
