The rhyme, the synergy, and yes, my excitement come from the fact that I believe this is the most fully-fledged, that is to say, the most specific wine we’ve seen from this site. The irony of a process of becoming, while mandating change, is the inexorable movement towards something unique, wholly itself. I don’t mean to imply a coming of age: the block and I are too immature to know what will come. Nevertheless, despite the charms, the innovations of vintage variation, the wardrobe changes seem subtler. The more we embrace who we momentarily were, the more we become who we intrinsically are, perhaps. Enough reflection; I truly hope this wine makes you feel grateful to know it.
WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT THIS WINE…
95+ WINE ADVOCATE– Lisa Perrotti-Brown: The cooler year shows on the restrained, youthfully shy, citrus laced nose, revealing notes of grapefruit peel, slate and lovely earthiness with a faint waft of florals and nutmeg. Very taut, elegant and fresh in the mouth, it is a delicate wine of great tension and minerality finishing with long-lasting lemon pip and chalky notes.
